Cristiano Ronaldo Would Make PSG Perennial Contenders
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is considered one of the best players in the world and there are a lot of experts who think that the former Manchester United star is indeed the best player in the planet over Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo has enjoyed worldwide recognition since joining Real Madrid, where he has cemented his place as a top-three player in the world, but that could change soon as he’s being tempted with a move to French outfit Paris Saint-Germain.
Not happy with the arrival of Edinson Cavani this past summer, Les Parisiens are always active in the market thanks to their deep pockets that allow them to sign almost any player they want, and if Ronaldo is made available (something that’s highly unlikely), they should jump in and make a move to sign the Portugal international.
Several sources reported in recent days that Ronaldo is unhappy at Santiago Bernabeu after the arrival of Gareth Bale as he feels he’s no longer the most important player of the team. So despite signing an extension only a few months ago, he could be on his way out of Santiago Bernabeu if the Ligue 1 champions make an offer.
They are reportedly willing to increase his salary (which is already a whooping £288,000 per week after tax) and if they are able to land the Portuguese star, then they should be considered as contenders to win everything they participate in year after year. An attacking group of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo and Cavani would strike fear into any opposition, although it would remain to be seen if the three personalities can survive altogether.
If the chance is there, Paris Saint Germain should do everything in their power to sign Ronaldo. The possibility to sign a world-class player doesn’t happen every day.
