The squad led by Pep Guardiola maintains their perfect record after four matches, and they clinched their spot in the round of 16 following another great display.
Despite some struggles in the Premier League, Manchester United still haven’t loss in the Champions League. After drawing against Real Sociedad, the Red Devils have eight points in four matches and they are getting closer to qualifying to the next stage of the tournament.
The French outfit were a lock to get the three points against an Anderlecht side that hadn’t scored in their last five matches away from home in the Champions League, but ended up getting a draw thanks to a goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Ligue 1 champions will need to step their game up if they are to advance to bigger stages in the competition.
Manchester City needed to win to secure their place in the next round, and they did it convincingly as they won 5-2 against CSKA Moscow. Manuel Pellegrini’s men now advanced to the next stage for the first time in their history and look poised to make a historic deep run in the tournament.
The ‘Clash Of Titans’ between Juventus and Real Madrid ended up being a thriller where both sides tried to push forward, looking for a much-needed win. In the end, Juventus got the lead and ended up rallying back to get a point that doesn’t help them much. Real Madrid, on the other hand, are one point away from clinching their place in the next round.
