Manchester United Would Make a Good Move Signing Sami Khedira

Steve Mitchell – USA Today Sports

After the first three months of the season, it’s clear that Manchester United needs to improve the team if they want to contend for the Premier League title until the end of the season.

David Moyes hasn’t been able to come up with a consistent starting six and the midfield, including summer signing Marouane Fellaini, hasn’t been able to perform as expected.

Signing Sami Khedira would solve many of The Red Devils’ issues.

Based on reports, the current Premier League champions are heavily scouting two Real Madrid players with one being the Germany international (the other is Ángel Di María). Assistant Phil Neville even flew to Spain to watch them both in the win against Sevilla where the two had solid outings.

Manchester United already tried to sign Khedira in the summer but they weren’t able to complete the move. With the arrival of several young players like Illarra and Casemiro, the return of Xabi Alonso and the emergence of Modric as a valid alternative in the middle of the park, Khedira might be available this summer. If he is, Manchester United should act quickly to try to sign him.

The former Stuttgart is solid on the marking but he’s not clumsy with the ball on his feet. He’s adept to go forward and his fast-paced style would be perfect for England. He’d make a great midfield pair with either Michael Carrick or Tom Cleverley.

If the chance is there, Manchester United should make a move to sign Khedira. It would be a solid decision and it would solve many of the issues the team has had this season.
