Bayern Munich were tipped to contend for the Bundesliga title as they clearly have one of the best teams in the world.

Despite the fact that they completed one of their best season last year as they won the league, the cup and the UEFA Champions League, the Allianz Arena outfit decided to undergo a managerial change. They replaced Jupp Heynckes, who chose to retire, with long-time Barcelona skipper Pep Guardiola.

The hiring of the Spaniard added a lot of pressure to an already potent team that had some of the best players in the world. The arrival of ‘Pep’ absolutely made them contenders as many pundits were already giving them the Bundesliga title before the season started.

And so far through 12 matches, Die Roten have been able to respond to the role with ease as they are leading the league table with 32 points in 12 matches, holding a four-point lead over Borussia Dortmund. They also have the second-best attack with 27 goals scored and the best defense, as they have conceded only seven goals in 12 matches.

Bayern Munich have been showing week after week that they want a second-straight league title and they cruised to a win against FC Augsburg today. Goals from Jerome Boateng, Franck Ribery and Thomas Müller were enough for them to have three more points in their quest to win another piece of silverware.

It’s safe to say that if they continue playing like this, no one will be able to stop them.
