Juventus Defeated Napoli to Pressure On AS Roma in Serie A
Juventus are the current Serie A champions and they’re looking for a third straight title. La Vecchia Signora have several title rivals in teams like Inter Milan, Fiorentina and AC Milan, but they also have to battle the likes of Napoli and AS Roma, who are the current leaders of the league following an amazing start. Juventus knew they had a tough match ahead of them against Napoli, and they played at their best to win the game by a convincing 3-0 score.
The squad managed by Antonio Conte dominated the game from start to finish as their midfield was too much to handle for Napoli. The tempo of the game was dictated by La Vecchia Signora and they looked to be in control of the game from the first whistle, with Arturo Vidal and Carlos Tevez playing at a high level throughout the whole match.
Juventus struck early thanks to Fernando Llorente, and late goals from Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba were enough to seal the win as they got three key points that allowed them to continue the pursuit of Roma.
Il Giallorossi surprisingly drew against Sassuolo at Stadio Olimpico and let two easy points get away, but they’re still leading the league with a two-point advantage over Juventus. If they want to continue being at the top of the standings, however, they will need to win as many games as possible as it seems like Juventus are getting better and better as the season advances.
It’s safe to say that Juventus could easily recover the top spot if they continue this level of play.
