Manchester City will host Tottenham Hotspur this weekend as Premier League action finally resumes after a two week hiatus due to international duty. This will be a game that could potentially decide who will be closer to the league title. What this means is simple: This will be a contested match throughout the entire 90 minutes as both sides have it all to prove.

City have not been playing very well on the road, but at home they have been a force to be reckoned with domestically. Tottenham is a team that could score goals out of nowhere and play an almost perfect possession game, but it will still be difficult to outplay the hosts, as they can create a plethora of chances in front of their home crowd who do not stop pushing them to the finish.

Sergio Aguero has been their best striker this season as he has been scoring when it counts. His teammates enjoy passing him the ball because their trust in him is infinite. The midfield has all of the patience in the world when it comes to leading the attack into the final third which truly makes this team dangerous.

Now, we take a look at their defense which does need work as the absence of Vincent Kompany has truly hurt them at center back. He has been their rock and captain in that position so during his absence (especially on the road) they made some critical errors that decided the games away in opposition of their favor.

With or without Kompany, this is a game that the Blue side of Manchester could definitely win by one or two goals. The way to do this is to intimidate their opponents with their speed, precision and a constant pressure of attacking their area to score as many times as possible.

Prediction: Manchester City 2, Tottenham 1

The home side will score the winner with some time left in the second half and earn all three points in a deserving manner.
