Fenerbahce will be hosting Besiktas this Saturday at their beloved Sukru Saracoglu stadium located in Istanbul, Turkey. The game is promising to be a good one, even better than the meeting between Fener and Galatasaray earlier this year which ended in favor of the hosts 2-0.
Both teams love playing possession and creating as many chances as possible, but there is a distinct difference. Fener loves pressing the ball constantly to force errors, as they do have difficulty creating chances since none of their players are as crafty as others are among some of the better teams in the league. Besiktas has Gokhan Tore and Oguzhan Ozyakup, two midfielders who can dribble, pass and score at will without any fear whatsoever. These guys can truly make a difference if given the chance to play a hefty amount of minutes on the pitch.
Honestly, coach Ersun Yanal of Fener is more improved than his counterpart Slaven Bilic, who is still trying to get acquainted with this league. They were off to a great start until Gala defeated them 2-1 at home, but the game was switched to a 3-0 forfeit after a riot from their fan base.
Regardless, the game will be played on a new day, where both sides will look to send a message to one another as well as the remainder of the league. This is definitely one to look forward to, as they can both win.
Prediction: Fenerbahce 3, Besiktas 2
The home side will be stronger throughout and will have three goals to show for it, while the visitors will score off of two counters.
