Ligue 1: PSG-Lyon Preview
PSG will be hosting Lyon this weekend in one of the more anticipated matches of the French Ligue 1 season.
Both teams boast a decent amount of talent, but the home side rightfully represents the capital, Paris, as they have the larger amount of funding and better quality of players.
Who is their best player? Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
After missing out on the World Cup due to Cristiano Ronaldo and his nation of Portugal, the Swede can only look forward to playing at the club level as his side is going to win their Champions League group stage and will look to go even further than the quarterfinals.
Ibrahimovic and company will look to gain another expected three points in front of their beloved crowd of faithful and devoted fans. Coach Laurent Blanc will implement either a 4-3-3 or a deep 4-4-2 with the wingers and strikers ending up with most of the credit for the win.
The reason why credit is not being given to Lyon is because they have been much colder than hot this season. Their days of winning seven straight Ligue 1 titles is well behind them. The time for PSG to win many titles is literally right now as they have the money, squad, management and coaching to back it all up.
Prediction: PSG 3, Lyon 1
The home side will end up dominating the opposing third and will score three goals to show for it, while the visitors will manage to score one goal on the counter or off of a moment of brilliance.
