Aaron Ramsey triumphantly returned to Wales to defeat boyhood club Cardiff City. The much criticized playmaker has been the revelation of the Premier League season. While his talent has never been in doubt, his ability to stay healthy has always been his Achilles heel. Ramsey led Arsenal to a more than convincing win that keeps them at the very top of the table and looking as strong as ever. His two goal performance was truly spectacular; he finally looks comfortable in an Arsenal jersey.

Upon the arrival of German maestro Mesut Ozil, Ramsey’s spot in the lineup was immediately put in doubt. But he has proven to be one of the most underrated players in the league and possibly the world. Every football fan in the world always expected Ozil to perform at the Emirates because he had proved to be a big time player with a high expectation team like Real Madrid. The enigma was always going to be Aaron Ramsey.

The match against Cardiff was a team effort; in football no player is capable of winning a match all on his own, but Ramsey’s performance today was the closest to perfection we have ever seen from the highly promising Welsh wizard. He was accurate in his passing, he stood resolute when asked to track back and never looked nervous in front of goal.

Only time will tell if this Arsenal team can win the Premier League title this season, but with an exciting mix of players, Arsene Wenger’s team is looking good. Olivier Giroud, Mikel Arteta, Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere and Wojciech Szczesny add balance to an incredibly creative and exciting team. I firmly believe this Arsenal team has what it takes to finally win the Premier League after almost ten years without any major silverware.
