World Cup 2014 Competition Stronger Than Ever
The World Cup is expected to be one of the most competitive and entertaining as it has ever been, and for good reason.
First of all, the host nation Brazil is the most soccer-crazed country in the world. They have already won a total of five World Cups and are expected to make it six if everything goes according to their plan. However, they will have quite a bit of stiff competition.
Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Spain and France are the remaining sides that are prepared to win it all. Some of these nations have never gone far enough to do so, but they have what it takes to compete with the very best of the best.
The reason that teams such as Italy and Portugal are left off this list is simple: they rely on a few guys and struggle when it comes to playing strong defense against some of the better nations around the world. In addition, the African sides will struggle against smarter competition, as will the United States, Mexico, the rest of the CONCACAF sides and the Asian zone as well.
When it comes to winning the big ones, Europe and South America absolutely dominate the world stage. No African sides have ever won the WC while Asian nations have failed to do so as well. This year, none of that is expected to change as the two aforementioned zones are simply too strong.
This World Cup will truly be one of the best ever as new and old faces alike are brewing up a new recipe for success. This will truly be a tournament to remember.
