Inter Milan Looking To Make an Impact in January Transfer Window
Several things could change at Inter Milan as soon as the transfer window opens in January next year. Even though the team has only suffered one defeat this season, their new owner Erick Thohir is looking to rebuild the team and has already stated he won’t be short on spending if he thinks it’s needed.
The Indonesian tycoon has an ambitious vision that he wants to install at the Neroazurri, and with a lot of money to spend and the obvious appeal the team has around the world, a lot of new faces could be seen at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium next year as the list of names linked with the team is simply astonishing.
Among the players linked with the Serie A outfit, we can find Chelsea players like John Obi Mikel and Demba Ba, PSG’s Lucas Moura, Aleksandar Kolarov from Manchester City and Domenico Criscito from Zenit, just to name a few. Brazilian defender Marquinhos is also a target and even though he’s a regular starter at AS Roma, as Serbian midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic could be used as trade bait to land the center back at Milan.
There could also be a change outside the pitch as Thohir already stated that if current manager Walter Mazzarri fails to achieve the objectives, then they will go all-in to sign Dutch coach Frank de Boer, who’s currently having a successful tenure at Ajax.
Most of these names are purely speculation, but the only thing clear is that there will be several changes in Inter Milan in the next months. It remains to be seen if they will be successful, but there’s no harm in trying to improve a team that desperately needs to get back to their usual winning ways.
