Premiership Midseason Review: Hull City

At the beginning of the season, I had written down my Premier League predictions. Now with 19 games played, let’s look at Hull City and see how they’ve done. Here is what I said during the preseason:

They are performing way above my expectations so far this season as they are 10th in the Premier League and are seven points above the relegation zone. This is what I wrote back in August:

Teams have to gel quickly and if Hull do, they might stand a chance … however, I think they will be struggling all season.

So I had Hull City as one of the three teams to go down, and I think they still might struggle as the season continues. That said, you cannot argue with the way things have gone so far for them. The 6-0 win against Fulham has certainly ended the year on a high note.

That said, a tough start to January could see that work undone. They will have a trip away to Liverpool followed by a home match against Chelsea and an FA Cup fixture in between. To end the month, they will be visiting potential relegation candidates Norwich City and Crystal Palace.
