The January transfer window will open in only a few days, and it’s safe to say that big moves are expected all over Europe.
With the World Cup starting in a little bit more than six months, some top players will be eager to move to another team looking to prove they can be a viable option for their country. The Premier League is no stranger to this phenomenon, and a skillful winger could be leaving England in the near future.
According to several reports, Manchester United are leaning towards making Nani expendable. And with the team expecting to receive around €20M for his transfer, not many squads will be eager to sign the Portuguese international. One team that should make the move, however, is current Serie A champion Juventus.
Nani might not appear to fit in the 3-5-2 tactic employed by Antonio Conte, but he could inject some much needed dynamism to either flank. Since Juventus uses defensive specialists on both sides of the pitch – preferably Stephan Lichtsteiner on the right and Kwadwo Asamoah on the left – the skill and pace of Nani would be deadly for Juventus down the stretch this season.
In addition to that, Nani has already proved to be a winner at the highest level even though a recent drop in his form has led Manchester United to listen offers for him.
While The Red Devils won’t suffer much with his exit, the team that signs him would be getting a massive boost on the offensive side of the ball. Juventus is in need of such a major boost, and it seems like this move is a perfect fit for all parties involved.
