Premiership Midseason Review: Norwich City

Courtesy: Norwich City Facebook Page

At the beginning of the season, I had written down my Premier League predictions. Now with 19 games played, let’s look at Norwich City and see how they’ve done. Here is what I said during the preseason:

Chris Houghton is odds-on to be one of the best managers in this league, considering the resources available to him compared to others … Was last seasons good finish to the season just a springboard?

Well, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel has been disappointing with just the single goal in 11 games. Gary Hooper has only just been given a chance and has already got five goals. Leroy Fer is probably the best out of the three mentioned with three goals from midfield.

January will not get much easier for them either as they try to get themselves out of trouble. They will be away to a resurgent Crystal Palace, followed by an away day at Everton and then home games vs. Hull City and Newcastle. Chris Hughton needs a good start to the second part of the season because his last four league games. if he is still at the helm, are at home against Liverpool and Arsenal and away to United and Chelsea.

So, I think it is safe to say they need to be safe come the middle of April at the latest.
