Galatasaray is one of 16 teams that remain in the UEFA Champions League, which will resume later this month. However, on paper, they are seen as a weak link.

When it comes to the likes of FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City, everyone knows that they are capable of winning big games, leagues and tournaments. In fact, they have all recently proven that they have what it takes. The expectations and pressure are there, but since they have done it before, some of that is released.

The Turkish champions are the very best on paper when it comes to competition in Turkey, but on the European stage, getting past the quarterfinals in the most prestigious competition has been a problem for this team. This year, they will look to change that.

In this season's Round of 16, Galatasaray will be facing the 2012 UCL champions, Chelsea. This is a team that is being led once again by Jose Mourinho, who just led his team to a historic 1-0 victory at the Etihad, shutting down the very best attack in English soccer this season. If he can manage that, shouldn't facing a Turkish side that is susceptible to better attacks and defenses be a cake walk?

It's hard to say, as every single game and opponent is different. Chelsea has the tendency to take it easy against lesser teams who they are expected to demolish with ease. Therefore, when they visit the Ali Sami Yen in the first leg, they will be in for an awakening as a Galatasaray side ready for the challenge awaits them.

Read on to find out why the Turkish champions can win the UEFA Champions League this season.

This team has learned to play a more disciplined style of soccer within the past month. If they can manage to concentrate throughout the entirety of matches, they will allow a minimal amount of goals and use good defensive structure to counterattack. This will be a major key in their upcoming success.

This is something that this team needs to gain right away. They let nerves get the best of them against bigger and better clubs, which is why they lost the amount of games they did. Controlling the possession, their emotions and the pace of the game is exactly what Gala needs to do against the likes of Chelsea.

If they play with a fearless attitude against a team that virtually shows no fear, the game will be exciting for both parties and chances will be created. In order to defeat a disciplined team, Galatasaray will have to use everything they have and take risks.

The stress of creating attacks alone is not enough. Burak Yilmaz, Umut Bulut and the rest of the boys have to perfect to put more than one goal past their opponents. The team is capable of scoring in bunches as they proved in their 6-0 demolition of Bursaspor. However, Chelsea and the other remaining UCL sides will be tougher.

This team has been on an uproar since the arrival of new coach Roberto Mancini who plays no games.

In addition to Mancini, legendary striker Didier Drogba has been the on-field leader of this club since his arrival last January. With Mancini, Drogba and other veterans leading the way, this team is in for a treat as they are about to play the best soccer they have ever played.
