He is young and extremely talented. He was strongly courted by two of the most glorious national teams in the world. He plays for one of Italy’s strongest teams along with numerous illustrious names such as Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso and Diego Milito.

Life appears to be great for Argentine starlet Mauro Icardi, who despite only being 20-years old, is already living the ultimate dream of most kids around the world: being a soccer superstar.

However, as ironic as it is, Icardi does not seem to be taking as much advantage as he could from his great life circumstances. As a matter of fact, instead of putting all of his efforts toward improving his career both on and off the field, he spends most of his time showing the world the juvenile relationship he has with his girlfriend, Wanda Nara, former wife of his friend Maxi Lopez.

Certainly, what professional athletes do in their own private lives is their business, so it should not be a concern for the fans. Nonetheless, it is also true that being a public figure, the player should learn to display a much more reserved attitude about their personal issues, especially when using social networks.

After all, he must already know that whatever he tweets cannot be considered a private matter, given that his account has more than 400,000 followers, including many newspapers and journalists. For sure, it is only enough to take a quick peek to realize how immature he still is.

For all these reasons, the Italian National Team should be very happy about his decision to represent Argentina. In fact, even if he was strongly wanted by boss Cesare Prandelli, it is actually very positive for the Azzurri not having to worry about someone who clearly does not know what being a professional soccer player means. For what is worth, the Italians already have enough controversial figures with Mario Balotelli and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.

On the contrary, the hope for Inter, his club, is for the player to finally focus entirely on his professional life by taking example of great individuals like Zanetti and Cambiasso. In the meantime, not only the Nerazzurri and Argentine fans, but also the whole Twitter world will be impatiently waiting.
