Top 25 EPL Players So Far This Season
The 2013-14 English Premier League season has made for scintillating viewing thus far and with 14 games to go, plenty of twists and turns remain on the horizon.
Just two points separate the top three teams, with Arsenal leading the way on 55 points, followed closely by Manchester City and Chelsea. The biggest shock of the season has undoubtedly come at Old Trafford, where newly appointed manager David Moyes has failed spectacularly in succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United throne. Lying in seventh place on 40 points, United trail Arsenal by 15 points and look set to miss out on Champions League qualification for the first time in 19 years.
Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton will be hoping to beat United to fourth spot while Tottenham Hotspur are also eyeing Champions League qualification despite five and six-nil thrashings at the hands of Liverpool and City respectively.
The battle at the bottom of the table is even tighter with a six point gap between 11th placed Stoke City and last placed Fulham. The newly promoted sides have struggled during the first half of the season with Cardiff City in the relegation zone on 21 points and Crystal Palace and Hull City resting perilously close to the drop.
There has been 645 goals scored so far this season at an average of 2.69 per game and many defensive battles have taken place as teams fight for every point available. These are the top 25 Premier League performers so far this season.
