If there is one thing that can be certain about LA Galaxy forward Robbie Keane, it is that the man knows how to score goals.

Since the first day he stepped onto a soccer field, Keane has dazzled fans with his stunning playmaking abilities and supersonic shooting. Another part of his game that fans frequently enjoy is his goal celebration. Seeing him do a cartwheel then somersault and spring up and shoot his two “guns” in rapid fire form… what a performance! It was certainly one suited for a player of Keane’s caliber.

Entering into his fourth season with the Galaxy, Keane has consistently proven that he is the go-to guy for scoring goals. In 2012 and 2013, Keane notched 16 goals in both seasons, making him one of the most dominate and consistent strikers in the MLS and a must have for your MLS Fantasy Soccer team in 2014.

Keane’s current fantasy value is $11 million, making him tied for the most expensive alongside New York Red Bulls Forward Thierry Henry. It is a bit ironic that two players who are soccer legends, but who are also rather old, are more valued then some of the some of the other top strikers in the MLS. Are these two soccer gods worth the cash? You better believe it. Keane will give any fantasy team the much needed points to pull away from your weekly competition.

One thing that must be remembered though, is that because of his high value, building a team around players like Keane can get expensive fast, so make sure to grab your two or three top players first, then use your best MLS knowledge to make sure you draft a smart team in terms of players. However, make sure you don’t blow all of your money right away; after all, $120 million goes fast when you stock your team with top-flight players.

Overall, drafting Keane is a must for any fantasy owner that wants tremendous production from their players and especially if you’re looking for that one player to help carry a team to victory each and every week.
