Mexican striker Javier Hernandez has been unsettled for quite awhile in Manchester United, and it seems like no matter how many goals he scores, he will never become a regular starter for the Red Devils. According to the latest reports, the management feels the same thing about the former Chivas star, and a move during the summer transfer window could be on the cards.
‘Chicharito’ has been drawing heavy interest in recent years and he became a top target for many teams since he scored more than 20 goals in his first year at Old Trafford. While he has not been able to replicate that success in the recent season, he’s still a premier striker who can score goals for fun, and it seems like his most likely destination would be La Liga.
Both Atletico Madrid and Valencia are believed to be interested in the Mexican star and while both teams could use him, he would be deadly for Los Colchoneros if he’s paired alongside the likes of Diego Costa and David Villa. He could also become a key member for Valencia as he would instantly become the team’s best striker and would have plenty of chances to prove his worth at the highest level.
Regardless of all the rumors, Manchester United would be foolish to sell Hernandez. That said, all signs are pointing for that to happen. David Moyes has put players like Danny Welbeck ahead of him and since things don’t look to be changing anytime soon, it appears like the best move for Hernandez is to leave England in order to find a better future.
And that’s something Manchester United should avoid at all costs.
