Julian Green Set To Become A Star With USMNT
After pounding his decision on which country to choose as a senior international, current Bayern Munich youngster Julian Green was torn between Germany and the United States. After representing Die Mannschaft at the younger levels – and being one of the best players at the U-19 category – and spending time with the US Team in Frankfurt, the time has come, and the versatile playmaker has finally made a decision.
And the result is that he will represent the Red, White and Blue as soon as the team has an international match prior to the World Cup.
This decision is surely a boost of confidence for both the coaching staff and the players. It’s no secret that Jürgen Klinsmann was the main advocate of including Green into the team based on what he had seen of him, and it wouldn’t be strange to see him featuring in the USMNT sooner rather than later. As for the players, no one should feel safe with his presence, because he has enough talent to make an impact straight away in the squad.
All things aside, Green has all the makings to be a star. What he lacks on international experience, he has it on natural talent, and there’s little doubt he’s on the fast track to be one of the best players in the world.
Green only needs time to show it, and surely the USMNT coaching staff is thrilled that they will have a top youngster leading the new era as players like Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan step aside. He can easily become a building block for the team, and he will be one of the most recognizable players in the country sooner than later.
