Napoli vs. Juventus is Best Serie A Game of Weekend
Napoli hosting Juventus tomorrow evening will be the best Serie A game to watch this weekend as the hosts will look to win in order to inch closer to second-placed AS Roma.
The hosts will be relying on Gonzalo Higuain, Marek Hamsik, Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon to find the back of the net as many times as possible against a resilient Juventus defense that can blister on the counter. These guys can pass the ball all day, but are all more individualistic as they all enjoy being the team hero.
The reigning champions will be playing with three guys in the back which means that their five-man midfield will be dictating their offense for Carlos Tevez and Pablo Osvaldo up top as they will be expected to have a great game. If everyone plays solidly, they can win by one or two goals against a Napoli side who will be ready for this encounter.
The scoring should be much closer this time around than the reverse fixture which ended 3-0 in favor of the visitors. That was a game that took a lot out of Napoli since they were masterminded in all aspects of the game. However, tomorrow they will be playing inside their very own stadium so the win should not be too far from their minds as they clearly need and desire all three points.
Juventus are currently 20 points clear of Napoli who sit in third place behind Roma who have 67 and a game in hand ahead of Juve. If the reigning champions win the match, they can go 17 points clear if the Romans lose their bout against Sassuolo.
Prediction: Napoli 1, Juventus 2
The hosts will dominate for large periods during the match, but the champions will score on two of their few decent opportunities.
