Sporting Kansas City is regarded as one of the teams that play a possession style in the MLS with a mix between a South American side and a Spanish one. They clearly have a lot of Hispanic influences in the way they move the ball around, and they have completed the signing of a player who should fit in perfectly with what they try to do on the pitch.

According to official MLS sources, Sporting has completed the signing of versatile midfielder Victor Muñoz, and the 23-year-old playmaker will join the team as soon as the franchise receives his international transfer. Muñoz has a lot of international pedigree on his resume, and he should be able to instantly help the team in midfield.

Muñoz is known for having a bright career at the youth level in Spain. He played with Real Madrid and Celta de Vigo while also being an international at the U-16 and U-17 levels. He decided to move to the States to pursue a college degree and ended up being a standout at UCLA, earning All-Pac-12 honors in his senior year.

After being selected as the 29th overall pick in 2014 MLS SuperDraft by DC United, Muñoz played with them in the preseason but was later released, so he joins Sporting as a free agent. His left-footed ability in midfield, his capacity to create assists out of nowhere and his superior understanding of the game are all traits that Sporting could use as they employ a passing strategy where Muñoz should fit instantly.

By all accounts, this is a great move by Sporting. They picked up a talented player who could end up being a difference maker if he progresses as expected.
