In a small Madrid derby at Getafe, this man managed to keep a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory that kept his club on top by three points. His height, strength and bravery all enable him to beat opposing players to the ball in the air which really matters since his defense is always tested in that area.

Miranda has the potential to start for Brazil in the World Cup. He is strong, brave, always focuses on the task at hand and can even score goals when counted upon during set-plays. He has been a rock at the center-back position all year long which is why Atletico is still atop the league standings.

As usual, he defended heartily at the left-back position in addition to almost scoring a goal for Real Madrid against Almeria at the weekend. His speed, technique, discipline and never-ending energy always helps to give his team a big boost. If he stays healthy, he certainly will be starting for Portugal in the World Cup.

In addition to scoring the opening goal in impressive fashion, his speed and skill tormented the Almeria defense throughout his minutes on the field. His performances are always consistent in the most positive of ways which is why Argentina will rely on him this summer in the World Cup. He needs to remain in the starting lineup for Real Madrid as he should be considered irreplaceable.

His work ethic in the heart of the midfield is admirable. His speed, technique and intelligence of where and when to place the ball is impeccable. He recorded both of his assists to Aritz Aduriz in a 3-0 victory for Athletic Bilbao. Starting for Spain in the World Cup will not happen this year, but maybe in 2018 it is a distinct possibility.

He did not score this week, but he did record an assist to Alvaro Morata towards the end of a game in which he played a full 90 minutes. His defensive and offensive abilities in the center of midfield are starting to improve on a weekly basis. He is talented, strong, fast and smart on and off the ball. Unfortunately for him, though, he will no be starting for Spain in the World Cup as there are more deserving candidates.

He scored yet again for Real Madrid over the weekend against Almeria and continued to shine in his role on the left hand flank in the final third. His talent grows every game and he continually adapts to the Spanish game. His speed, vision, strength, skill and eye for goal cannot be found in many players. He should be at Real Madrid for a very long time.

The striker netted yet another brace for his Athletic Bilbao in a 3-0 home win over Malaga. He is 32, but he still has all of his skills and speed intact, which should make him a possible substitute for Spain in this summer's World Cup as he has not been given too many chances in recent tournaments. He could definitely be an asset ahead of the likes of David Villa, Fernando Torres or even Alvaro Negredo.

Kevin Gameiro recorded an important double that kept Real Betis at bay after threatening Sevilla on several occasions in their city derby on Sunday. He is fast, skilled and has an uncanny eye for frame as he scores when called upon, even if he does not start every single game for his club. France should bring him aboard as a substitute at worst as he can make a difference in the World Cup.
