German coach Joachim Loew released four players from his provisional World Cup roster after a friendly with Poland this week. He surprisingly named Christoph Kramer as a camp addition, but he should be one of the other four that are dismissed before the trip to Brazil. Here is a look at the players who should get playing time in Brazil.

Manuel Neuer is assured of the starting job in Brazil barring an injury. He will have one last match with Bayern Munich before becoming a full participant in the German training camp. Bayern will face Dortmund in the DFB Pokal final, which keeps those players out of preparations, but does not limit their chances for Brazil.

The back line is shifting a bit after Loew decided to send Marcell Jansen home. He has some flexibility depending on who he employs at right back. Philipp Lahm is still the best candidate with Per Mertesacker and Mats Hummels pairing in the center. Marcel Schmelzer should be the top choice left-back with Jerome Boateng being able to fill in across the entire back line.

This is the deepest position for Germany even with Lahm pushed back into defense. Any number of players could see playing time. Marco Reus, Mesut Ozil and Bastian Schweinsteiger are locks. Sami Khedira has to prove he has recovered from an injury. Mario Goetze and Thomas Muller may be used at the false nine position.

Striker: Miroslav Klose

With Loew only putting two strikers on his provisional roster, it seems that he will go with the false nine approach in Brazil. Miroslav Klose will make the team and is looking for a scoring record. Kevin Volland may be left off, especially after possibly sustaining a head injury against Poland.
