Argentina are the clear front-runners in Group F. The Argentinian side is filled with top class players and is currently ranked seventh in the world, 18 spots ahead of the next team, Bosnia and Herezgovina. Assuming Argentina takes care of business as they should, this group will come down to who can finish second. Bosnia is the favorite, but both Iran and Nigeria have some talent and could be in the mix.

Here are the top five players:

5. Gonzalo Higuain

Higuain is on this list because of his superb goal scoring ability, consistently putting the ball in the back of the net wherever he has played. In six seasons at Real Madrid, Higuain scored 107 goals and has since followed that up with 17 in a season at Napoli. Higuain has also done well for his country, scoring four goals at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and led the CONMEBOL with nine goals during World Cup qualifying.

4. Angel Di Maria

Angel Di Maria will lead the midfield for Argentina at this World Cup. Di Maria has established himself as a top notch midfielder while playing for Real Madrid in the La Liga, netting 22 goals and contributing 47 assists over four years with the Los Blancos. Argentina will likely rely on Di Maria as a playmaker in their midfield at this year's World Cup.

3. Jon Obi Mikel

Jon Obi Mikel is the man leading the charge for Nigeria. The midfielder is by far the best player on their roster and Nigeria will need him to play well to have a shot at advancing. Mikel has been in great form with his club team, Chelsea, netting two goals in 36 appearances this season, and he will need to continue playing at a high level for Nigeria to have success.

2. Edin Dzeko

Dzeko scored 66 goals with Wolfsburg in 111 appearances from 2007-11 and has followed that up by scoring 46 with Manchester City since then. He has also been superb for his country, scoring 33 goals in 60 appearances and he will be key to Bosnia and Herzegovina's success at the World Cup.

Lionel Messi is one of the best players in the world and he is easily the best player in Group F. Messi has won the FIFA Ballon d'Or four times, the European Golden Shoe three times, led the UEFA Champions League in scoring every year from 2009 to 2012 and has scored 280 goals between Barcelona and Argentina since 2004. Oh, and he is just 26 years old. Easy call, Messi is the best player in Group F, and arguably the best in the tournament.
