Torosidis is a veteran for the Greek national side and will gladly start in the right back position. He had a decent season with AS Roma who finished second in the Serie A season. Now he will use that experience to his advantage as he will be a critical part pushing up the right flank in attacks.

Helping Borussia Dortmund to a second-placed Bundesliga and DFB Pokal finish, this Greek international defender enjoyed a successful debut season with his new club. With that in mind, the coach should be starting him for the World Cup in one of the center back positions. He will be clutch as this team does tend to sit back against better offensive-minded opponents.

Cholebas enjoyed a Round of 16 appearance with Olympiacos in the Champions League. As a left back, he locks down wingers and constantly makes runs down the flank. He is strong and plays throughout the game without errors. He will have to be strong in this tournament in order to help his nation defy the odds.

His teammates will be relying on him to use his experience to run plays and help to position everyone around him to commit as few errors as possible.

At the age of 34, this is arguably the midfielder's final World Cup tournament. Along with Karagounis, they are the two oldest members of this team so their presence on the field brings a plethora of experience. They will have to be nearly perfect in order to advance far down the line of the competition.

Let's rememebr that these two represented Greece in the EURO 2004 triumph, something that will be on their minds come June.

Mitroglou earned a move to the Premier League with Fulham from Olympiacos back in January. Since that time, his form has dropped as he was learning how to adapt to a more physical and defensive league. Regardless, his country will still rely on him to find the back of the net many times.

Left Wing: Angelos Samaras

Samaras started most of Celtic's games en route to yet another Scottish Premier League title. He has been scoring, assisting, dribbling and playing in many games for them and will do the same for Greece this summer.

As a starter, he will be counted on to orchestrate the left side in the final third as his teammates know what he can produce. In fact, he can quietly be their most valuable asset.
