Asmir Begovic grew up in Canada, but is enmeshed with his Bosnian roots. He is the type of keeper who can steal a match or keep his team in it if they need to weather a storm. Begovic is also one of the leaders on the team and has plenty of faith in it. Begovic has stated over and over that this team has a great chance of making waves.

In an interview last week former Manchester United and Denmark goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, he said he would not want to face Bosnia and it is mainly because of Dzeko's ability to finish. Dzeko and Begovic have bonded as the core of this team. He scored 10 goals and added three assists during qualifying and became a hero in Bosnia. Now he has a Premier League title medal around his neck and a determination to succeed in Brazil.

Bosnia saw most of the ball during their qualifying run. While Dzeko tallied a lot, it was the midfield that created all the chances. Holding midfielder Haris Medunjanin smartly distributed to those with more of an offensive tendency including Roma's Miralem Pjanic. Medunjanin had to learn the role and has done well. Not only are they creative and dangerous, but also good people as Pjanic bought out a pharmacy to help with the recent flooding.

For their first entry in the World Cup, they must be happy with their draw. With a good group of talented players and opponents Nigeria and Iran in the group, Bosnia should finish second behind Argentina. Iran will be lucky to score a goal in Brazil. Nigeria has been unable to regain their form after claiming the African Cup. Anything can happen after getting out of the group.

Coach Safet Susic is usually regarded as stubborn, but he has shown since the 2012 Euros that he is willing to adapt to his opponents. Once stuck to a two-striker formation, he experimented with a lone striker tactic that caught France off guard only to lose on a controversial call. He has also put faith in younger players to play important roles using their club form as the foundation for their inclusion.
