While they didn't dominate as many would have expected, Colombia proved that they're an amazingly efficient team. They defended well when Greece was pushing forward, and they took advantage of almost all their opportunities to score. Here are the grades for each Colombian player.

David Ospina didn't have a very busy night. Though Greece controlled the game for long portions of the game, they only bothered Ospina a handful of times. And every time they shot, Ospina was there to instill confidence into the Colombian backline. He also had a great diving save when Greece was playing at their best. 8 out of 10 for Ospina.

Colombia made a habit of attacking on the right flank all game long. Camilo Zuñiga linked up with Juan Cuadrado a number of times and was a constant offensive threat against Greece. That said, Zuñiga also suffered whenever Samaras went one-on-one against him. 6.5 out of 10 for Zuñiga.

CB - Cristian Zapata

It was a solid game for Cristian Zapata. When Greece was attacking and dominating the match, he was impenetrable in both the air and the ground. Zapata was always well positioned and covered any mistakes from Zuñiga on time. 8 out of 10 for Zapata.

CB - Mario Yepes

At 38 years of age, one can expect Mario Yepes to be the weak link of the Colombian back line. However, Greece hardly managed to get past Yepes. As always, the Atalanta defender won every header in his area and used his experience to defend his opponents. 7.5 out of 10 for Yepes.

It's no secret that your first World Cup game can be your hardest. The nerves are there and can put pressure on you. But thanks to an early goal from Pablo Armero, Colombia managed to get rid of those early game nerves. His defense was suspect at times, but he was a constant threat on the left as well. 7 out of 10 for Armero.

CM - Abel Aguilar

Colombia's well-balanced and well-positioned defense was in part thanks to the work and effort of Abel Aguilar. The Colombian midfielder always covered the forward runs of his left back and constantly organized the two defensive lines. He also managed to get the assist on the second goal with a brilliant flick. 7.5 out of 10 for Aguilar.

Carlos Sanchez used his strength and size to defend the Greece attacks as well as he could. He came out losing in a couple of battles, winning himself a yellow card in the process. Besides that, Greece could never figure out how to get into the final third because of Carlos Sanchez and Abel Aguilar's solid work. 7 out of 10 for Sanchez.

Juan Cuadrado was a demon on the right flank for Colombia. Greece could never stop his blazing speed, and whenever he got a chance, he put in dangerous crosses. His efforts and dribbling led to two assists on the game. If Colombia wants to go far in the tournament, Cuadrado will have to keep up these performances. 8.5 out of 10 for Cuadrado.

With Radamel Falcao out, James Rodriguez has become the star of the Colombian national team. This game showed that he can handle that pressure with his speed, dribbling and pure class. He created a number of chances against a solid Greek defense, and was finally rewarded with a late last-minute goal. 8.5 out of 10 for James Rodriguez.

Gutierrez managed to nab himself a goal, but his performance wasn't as good as other times. He seemed lost in between the strong Greek defenders, and only managed to show his skill a few times throughout the match. But the goal certainly shows that he'll take advantage of every chance he gets. 7 out of 10 for Teo Gutierrez.

Victor Ibarbo was the surprise inclusion to the starting 11, called to be the natural replacement to the injured Radamel Falcao. While he was no Falcao in front of goal, he did very well in his own right. His speed and strength was able to fight off the Greek defense and managed to link up well with Rodriguez multiple times. 6.5 out of 10 for Ibarbo.

Alejandro Mejia came in for Abel Aguilar to provide fresh legs and continue to contribute to the organized Colombian defense. By the time he came in, the best of Greece was already over and he managed to control any oncoming Greek attacks. 6 out of 10 for Mejia.

Jackson Martinez subbed in for Teo Gutierrez to give Colombia more size going forward. Despite his fresh legs, strength and speed, he didn't do much more than Gutierrez did. 5.5 out of 10 for Jackson Martinez.

Santiago Arias only played 15 minutes, but he moved well across the field, shutting down the defense on his side, and making dangerous runs on offense. He replaced Pablo Armero to shore up the defense on the left, and he responded well to his role. 7 out of 10 for Santiago Arias.
