Switzerland will be facing Honduras in their last World Cup Group E match tomorrow. After falling 5-2 to France, they know that this is the perfect opportunity to bounce back and finish in second place ahead of Ecuador, at worst. That loss will be on their minds throughout the match so they will want to use it as a positive boost to push them towards the win.

Honduras lost both of its opening two matches, 3-0 to France then 2-1 to Ecuador. Now, they will want to give their passionate fans something to smile about with a victory or a draw at worst. They will have Wilson Palacios back from suspension which will add a defensive presence in the midfield to keep order in that area. Carlo Costly will look to score another goal to add to his tally of one which is his country’s only goal in this tournament so far.

The Swiss have to rely on their midfield to run this game. They will have to drop back to help the defense, then immediately spread the field with numbers all over. The strikers need to hold the ball up and at times create chances for themselves to finish. Xherdan Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka are the names that come to mind when thinking of youthful midfielders with skill, pace and a hunger to keep running forward. Gokhan Inler and Valon Behrami are going to have to be standing tall in their defensive positions in the midfield.

Prediction: Switzerland 3, Honduras 1

The Swiss will roll through this match to grab the points they need to advance to the knockout round.
