Round robin play has ended in the group stages. Some teams displayed utter dominance in their three matches, while other squads moving on seem to be products of a weak group or lucky circumstances. Nonetheless, here are your five weakest teams as the tournament enters the Round of 16.

This CONCACAF nation has shown some serious moxie in Brazil, having defeated both Uruguay and Italy in their first two group stage matches. Costa Rica played to a draw with England in their final match, which may make it seem like they are slowly coming back down to earth. Being the top seed out of Group D gives them a very promising matchup in the Round of 16, so they are reasonable candidate to advance further in the tournament.

They made it out of arguably the toughest group at the 2014 World Cup, but celebrating a loss in their final match feels strange. The only team USA beat in Group G was Ghana, who failed to win a single match. Portugal came on strong towards the end of group play, but their 4-0 loss to Germany was the team's ultimate undoing. The USMNT faces a tough test against Belgium in their next match, a squad that won all three of their Group H games.

3. Algeria (22 FIFA World Ranking)

Algeria have represented Africa well in Brazil. They have scored six goals in three games, so that is certainly something to take away. Islam Slimani's clutch goal against Russia forced a draw in their final Group H match and allowed them to advance. If Algeria go on to beat Germany in the Round of 16, it will surely be the greatest upset of the 21st century in soccer.

Nigeria tied Iran, and lost to Argentina. Their 1-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina gives them the right to advance. They made it out of one of the weaker groups in the tournament, as Argentina were the only squad in Group F ranked within the top 20 by FIFA. Nigeria will have their hands full with France, who scored eight goals and finished first place in Group E.

1. Greece (12 FIFA World Ranking)

Though ranked in the top 15, Greece did not have a strong appearance in the group stages. You have to think their scrappy, defensive approach just isn't enough to be successful in this tournament, as brilliant goals and high scoring affairs have been the trend. Greece managed only two GF in Group C, so for that reason they are the weakest team remaining. Things could get interesting, though, as they face the No. 5 team on this list next time out.
