It’s an established fact that Arsenal are on the prowl for striking options. With Karim Benzema seemingly off the table and Mario Balotelli talks all but disappearing, more names are starting to establish themselves. Klaas Jan Huntelaar is one name that has emerged, given that he has one year left on his contact, but the more likely option is coming from someone who is not even a forward.

Alexis Sanchez had a superb season at Barcelona, racking up 19 goals and 10 assists. If he can find that kind of production at a cluttered Barcelona club, it only makes sense that he could find similar production at Arsenal, where he’ll have a more prominent role.

Sanchez’s creativity is one of his strong suits. This is another way he can fit in at Arsenal. Arsenal are ripe with creative minds — with Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and the emerging excellence of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sanchez will be another welcome link in their creative chain.

It’s already known that Arsenal have launched a 40 million pound bid, enough to acquire his talents. The problem is luring him away from his other suitors such as Liverpool and Juventus.

Another facet with which Sanchez could certainly help is luring his Chilean team mate Arturo Vidal over to the Gunners. Along with more striker options, Arsene Wenger is also looking for defensive midfielders, and there aren’t many better than Vidal.

Sanchez will be asked to fill a more central role, but that doesn’t mean he can’t slot out wide when needed. Wherever he plays, Sanchez is a difference maker, and he’d be the perfect start for what should be an eventful transfer window for the FA Cup champions of just last season.
