If there were still doubts as to whether Manuel Neuer is the best goalkeeper in the world, this game should have removed those. While Neuer's first-half duties were to just watch Germany dominate, he had a number of fantastic saves in the second half. He cuts crosses better than anyone, and is fantastic with the ball at his feet. 8 out of 10 for Neuer.

Phillip Lahm's two performances at right-back only add to the head-scratching when he was being played as a central midfielder. Although he started off shaky against Hulk, he managed to compose himself and became one of Germany's best players. He was hardly beat off the dribble, and still remains the best player in the world in choosing his attacking runs intelligently. Two assists give him a 9 out of 10.

Not much work for Boateng in the first half, but when Brazil came knocking in the second half, he didn't have too many problems. He won any headers near him and formed a wall at the back with Mertesacker. He was left alone against Oscar on Brazil's lone goal. 7 out of 10 for Boateng.

He only played the first half due to injury concerns and thus didn't have too much to do against the terrible Brazilian attack. He did participate in Germany's fifth goal, where out of his hustle and strong tackle he kept the play alive for Germany to score. 7 out of 10 for Hummels.

Benedikt Hoewedes had his best game of the tournament, nullifying any Brazilian attack on his flank. Maicon's offensive runs never led to anything and Hoewedes made good work of keeping Bernard controlled. When Ramires came in, he never had a chance against Hoewedes. 8 out of 10 for Hoewedes.

Germany's unsung hero throughout this tournament has been Toni Kroos. He's been their most efficient midfield player, touching the ball over 500 times and almost never losing possession. But after today's performance, he'll have to be ready for his name to be chanted by the German faithful. He scored two goals and assisted on another. He, alongside Khedira and Schweinsteiger, bossed the midfield. 10 out of 10 for Kroos.

Sami Khedira proved to be the tireless workhorse of the German midfield. He was constantly pressing every Brazilian player around him and never gave up on any play. Add to that his fantastic assists as well as goal, and you've got yourself an amazing performance . 9.5 out of 10 for Khedira.

CM - Bastian Schweinsteiger

While Schweinsteiger didn't get on the score sheet like his other midfield partners, he was just as important to Germany's dominance. He opted to stay back and focus on recovering balls, and was integral in keeping possession of the ball for most of the game. He always makes the right pass and is always in good position to defend. 8.5 out of 10 for Schweinsteiger.

Mesut Ozil was perhaps the poorest of the midfield bunch against Brazil, but he still managed to play a part in a couple of Germany's goals. He showed vision throughout the entire game, feeding accurate through-balls to his forwards all game long. 8 out of 10 for Ozil.

A match to remember for Klose. He was the only player on the German squad to have suffered that loss against Brazil in the 2002 World Cup finals, and he finally managed to get his sweet revenge. Of course, it only gets sweeter for Klose, who became the top goalscorer in World Cup history, surpassing Ronaldo, with his great finish on Germany's second goal. 9 out of 10 for Klose.

Miroslav Klose had better celebrate his historical record, because in a couple of years, Thomas Muller will likely be the holder of that record. At the young age of 24, he scored his 10th goal against Brazil and led the German attack to their 7-1 stifling of them. Not only does he score with ease, but he creates for others and plays for the team. 9 out of 10 for Muller.

Per Mertesacker came in during half-time to make sure that no miracles happen where Brazil comes back from their 0-5 deficit. He played well and made sure the upset didn't occur. That said, he failed to communicated with Boateng on Brazil's lone goal. 6 out of 10 for Mertesacker.

It speaks to Germany's depth that a player like Andre Schurrle is routinely left on the bench. But even off the bench, he's proven to be Germany's game-changer. He adds to his goal-scoring tally with two fantastic strikes that Julio Cesar never had a chance to stop. 9 out of 10 for Schurrle.

No grade for Julian Draxler, who came in to simply get his first minutes of his very young World Cup career.
