After the 2014 World Cup, many questions are left to be answered four years from now in Russia. What will Jurgen Klinsmann do with his midfield? What Will Klinsmann do with the forwards? No one is exactly sure, but I am here to make some very bold predictions regarding the United States Men’s National Team.

5. Making the Semifinals

Can the United States make the semifinals? Sure, why not? It all depends on their group draw and where USA ends up in the group. If the United States wins the groups, a path to the semifinals is truly possible. The USMNT hasn’t reached the semifinals since 1930, so this is completely overdue.

4. Darlington Nagbe Will Make the Starting XI

Next, the center attacking midfielder from the Portland Timbers will be up for American citizenship and has the ability to be selected for the national team come 2018. Darlington Nagbe is versatile at his position and can play all around the midfield. He is a playmaker and can make the most at any position. Obviously, this would mean that a spot on the starting XI will be up for the taking. I guess you'll have to wait and see who that is.

3. Jozy Altidore Will Win the Golden Boot

Jozy Altidore can score goals, that’s a given. We were robbed of that sight when he was injured 20 minutes into the first game of the 2014 World Cup. As long as Altidore is of quality form come 2018, I don’t see a reason why he won’t compete, or even win the Golden Boot for that matter.

2. Clint Dempsey Won't Make the 2018 USMNT Roster

With the number of players coming up through the ranks and foreign-born Americans looking to play internationally, it is only logical that roster spots will become a rat race. Clint Dempsey may be deemed an excess due to the possible arrival of Darlington Nagbe and Gedion Zelalem. We have all been a witness to Jurgen Klinsmann’s lack of loyalty to certain players -- for example, Landon Donovan -- so Clint Dempsey may be left off the roster.

The boldest prediction of them all, the USMNT will win the whole thing. It is possible and it is a goal that Jurgen Klinsmann has declared to be in sight. This is the ultimate goal and without this success, Klinsmann’s job might be on the line. As long as all the players are in great form, group selection is favorable, and the road to the championship isn’t marred with giant obstacles, this is a realistic goal for the USMNT.
