After successfully courting Luis Suarez away from reluctant Liverpool, FC Barcelona are looking to add more targets to their squad. FC Barcelona have shifted their sights to Netherlands defender, Daley Blind. Reportedly, Blind was seen taking a vacation in Barcelona, coincidence? I think not.

Now, FC Barcelona have two reasons for wanting to beef up their squad. One reason is that La Liga rival Real Madrid has signed both Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez, which makes Real Madrid the best team in the world. The second and last reason is that FC Barcelona has appealed a transfer ban, which momentarily lifts the ban until the appeal process is completed.

Until that appeal process is seen through, FC Barcelona are looking to make the most of this opportunity.

FC Barcelona have apparently been interested in the Blind since his successful World Cup debut. Blind’s versatility to play at a range of different position makes him a valuable player in the eyes of FC Barcelona. He can play central defender, left-back and left midfielder, and can prosper in Luis Enrique Martinez Garcia’s defensive scheme.

These are just rumors, but sometimes rumors can turn out to be true, and fortunately for Blind, this kind of rumor must be quite flattering. With this type of hype surrounding a player, it is just a matter of time before other teams start to jump aboard. With Louis Van Gaal’s clear interest in Dutch players, Blind may wind up in Manchester United due to reasons that are obvious.
