What Can Chelsea Expect From Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas?
As all of the teams in the Premier League have strengthened, Chelsea FC have went out and done the same. After the loss of Frank Lampard and David Luiz, they have brought in Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas. Both of these players have experience playing for top clubs, Costa played an integral part in Atletico Madrid run to the Champions League final and was extremely important in them winning the La Liga title.
Costa and Fabregas were both apart of the Spain team which had a dismal showing in Brazil and was sent out of the tournament in the group stages. Fabregas played for Barcelona FC last season and after moving from Arsenal FC in 2011. He made 96 appearances for the team scoring 28 goals.
Both of these players have something to prove in the Premier League. Fabregas has been here before and was masterclass on many occasions for Arsenal. If he can reproduce that form for Chelsea the title will be sure.
Costa may not have as much experience in the Premier League, but it is evident that he certainly has the talent. With a driving force in the midfield and a class striker on top, Chelsea fans can look forward to beautiful goals, amazing link up play and quick fluid passing which Fabregas is known for.
Most Chelsea fans must be drooling at the idea of having Didier Drogba and Costa playing upfront with Eden Hazard and Fabregas in the midfield. The truth is, we don’t know what exactly Jose Mourinho plan will be for the upcoming season, but it is certain that the team that is taking shape is going to be an exciting one.
