MLS MVP Week 21
Craig Mitchelldyer - USA TODAY Sports

Week 21 was full of ups and downs all around. However, these were a few players that really stood out among the others. These players continue to be the most valuable for their clubs and may be the final MLS MVP candidates if they keep it up. Here are my five choices for Week 21.

5. Diego Valeri

Diego Valeri has been making headlines since the start of the season, and he doesn't seem to be slowing down. This top midfielder has scored six goals for the Portland Timbers this year, and some of those goals have been absolute beauties. He can be on his way to earning the MLS MVP.

4. Javier Morales

Javier Morales is an incredible midfielder, and Real Salt Lake are happy to have him. He is currently in top form and a big help to his club. It wouldn't be a shock to see him on the MLS MVP finalist list at the end of the season.

3. Landon Donovan

No one can deny that Landon Donovan is on the right track to win MLS MVP. He had a rough start this season, but he is now alive and kicking -- along with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Donovan is scoring goals and making crucial assists. He is one of the reasons why Galaxy are back on the way to the top.

2. Dom Dwyer

Dom Dwyer has been a rising star for Sporting Kansas City -- not that they need any more. He is tied for second in the league with 14 goals, and he has been making headlines all around. He is definitely a top player and in prime position for MLS MVP.

1. Bradley Wright-Phillips

The best decision the New York Red Bulls made this season was making Bradley Wright-Phillips a starter. He has been an incredible asset to the club and is a goal scoring machine. At the moment, I don't think anyone can top him for MLS MVP candidate.
