The Los Angeles Galaxy are on the rise in the Western Conference and were the favorite to win the California Clasico, but the San Jose Earthquakes couldn’t let that happen. San Jose has not been on top of its game lately, but they perked up just in time to hold the Galaxy to a draw. It was a draw that felt like a loss to the Galaxy and a win to San Jose. Jon Busch a top goalkeeper and is heavily relied upon by the San Jose Earthquakes. Although he couldn’t keep a clean sheet against the Los Angeles Galaxy, he did do his part to keep the team to a draw. San Jose should thank Busch for his saves during the California Clasico.

Matias Perez Garcia had a strong debut for the San Jose Earthquakes, and he came just in time to help San Jose. Although they could not hold their leads against the Los Angeles Galaxy, they were able to level the score with the help of Perez Garcia. He may not have been the best player on the pitch, but he is off to the right start.

Rising striker Gyasi Zardes made one of the two LA Galaxy goals, but he had a few other chances he missed. All of the strikers had a hard time finishing plays even though the club maintained the majority of the possession. It was not a great game for the Galaxy offense.
