Snapshot Preview of the Premier League
This weekend the new Premier League season starts. All of the teams strengthened and are raring to go at the title. With many of the players still tired after an exciting World Cup, the managers would need to have a very deep squad if they plan to be competing on all domestic fronts. The defending champions, Manchester City have strengthened even with the financial fair play regulations placed upon them.
The team which has gone under the biggest change in the offseason is Manchester United. They have not only invested in new players but also a new manager. Their manager Louis Van Gaal is not only experienced, but is known as a master tactician. Arsenal has the longest serving manager of any top flight club in the Premier League. Arsene Wenger is very experienced and knows what it takes to bring the title to the Emirates. The acquisition of Alexis Sanchez with the return to form of players such as Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla will be sure to put other players around on alert of their title credentials. Chelsea have sold David Luiz, one of their top performers last season. They have purchased Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, two players who have class and are guaranteed to bring the team success.
Even though many may think this will be a four-horse race to the title, there are outsiders like Tottenham and even Everton who can spring a surprise and perform just as well as those considered for the title. With only a few more days to go, we will finally see what every team is made of.
