Everton have already signed Romelu Lukaku, Gareth Barry and Christian Atsu for the 2014-15 English Premier League season. Having only been seven points off from reaching UEFA Champions League spot, Everton will want to strengthen their squad to once again challenge the top four. Here is a list of five players that Everton should sign this summer.

Remy has been liked with a number of teams including Liverpool and Chelsea, but nothing has materialized so far. The QPR striker had a successful loan spell at Newcastle last season, and Everton should capitalize on the hesitation of others. Remy will bring more firepower to the Everton front-line increasing their claim to a Champions League spot for next season.

Fellaini left Everton a year ago for Manchester United but has suffered a miserable time at Old Trafford. It is no secret that Louis van Gaal has no plans for the Belgian international. Reports indicate that the Red Devils are willing to sell Fellaini for a cut price to Napoli. Everton could highjack the deal by offering a better bid. Fellaini is a proven talent at Everton, and he should be brought back to strengthen the midfield.

3. Omar Gonzalez

Everton have stated their intention to gain a greater foothold in the American market. With the success of Tim Howard and Landon Donovan, Omar Gonzalez could be next. The LA Galaxy defender will be a good option to provide cover for Jagielka and Distin. Gonzalez is a proven talent for both the Galaxy and the U.S. national team, and he should be a serious consideration to provide depth to the Everton back-line.

2. Michael Bradley

Bradley is a good midfielder who can sit back and spray passes all over the field. The former AS Roma midfielder has significant experience in the Serie A and looks ready to play in the Premier League. Along with Bradley’s passing abilities, the Toronto FC midfielder will provide tireless running and energy to the Everton midfield.
