Columbus Crew came up big against the LA Galaxy in a match where they was expected to be the underdogs. They took advantage of space and scored goals, which were near impossible for Galaxy’s Jaime Penedo to stop. A 4-1 defeat is something Columbus should be proud of.

After rumors of DeAndre Yedlin’s transfer, it is finally confirmed. Yedlin will be joining Tottenham Hotspur as soon as 2015. He is currently owed by Tottenham, but will continue to stay with the Seattle Sounders on loan. He may be there up to two years.

Rookie Gyasi Zardes is on fire for the LA Galaxy after scoring another goal in their defeat by Columbus Crew. Zardes has now scored nine goals in his last 10 matches. Not to mention, his goal against Crew was a beautiful volley nominated for goal of the week.

The U.S. Open Cup does not get the respect it deserves, but clubs will take it as seriously as possible. Seattle Sounders knew they had to win, and showed no mercy when they crushed Chicago Fire 6-0. What an intense match. Chicago head coach Frank Yallop, even apologized for the terrible performance by his club.

It was a tight match for the top of the west, and Real Salt Lake was the one to come out on top. Seattle Sounders put up a fight only to lose 2-1. This was only three days after Seattle's takedown of Chicago Fire, but RSL now tops the west. It also in second place (due to goal difference) overall in MLS.
