Radamel Falcao looks set to join Louis Van Gaal‘s Manchester United sooner rather than later. United have looked to have beaten many giants to his signature, and Falcao has agreed to sign a one-year loan deal from Monaco.
But what will the 28-year-old striker bring to Old Trafford? Well for a start, he will bring much-needed goals for Van Gaal. The Columbian has hit 200 goals in 305 games for his respective clubs, which is a real impressive return and something United certainly need. The Red Devils have only scored two Premier League goals so far, and only have two points from three games.
Falcao earned his move to big spenders Monaco following a very fruitful spell in Spain with Atletico Madrid. He has impressed again in Spain, scoring 11 goals in 20. However, the Columbian seemed to have dropped down the pecking order at Monaco and has been given his chance to prove himself in England for a year. The move is sure to be good for all parties involved, and will certainly help Manchester United right now.
Van Gaal’s men were frustrated again on the weekend when they were held to a 0-0 draw at Burnley. The newly promoted side more than matched United and had a few chances of their own. With the recent arrivals of Angel Di Maria and Marcos Rojo, United are looking a more capable side.
With the expected addition of Falcao, the Red Devils will perhaps finally be back to their best and climbing up the table.
