The atmosphere is always just a little bit more attractive on European nights, isn't it? And it's no wonder when all of the game's brightest stars are on show, playing with pride for their respective badges. Fans are set to be treated to a whole host of pulsating contests next week, and although there's a vested interest in each match, some are always crafted a little more special than the rest. So, here's a rundown of the must-see games.

Untouchable at the top of the Serie A, undefeated with six wins, The Old Lady are the team to beat right now. And Michel's Olympiakos aren't doing so badly on the domestic front either. Having put Spanish champions Atletico Madrid to the sword in the Champions League, they won't fear the visit of the Bianconeri -- we can expect a fearsome battle. Settle in for some fantastic viewing, particularly with bearded maestro, Andrea Pirlo on show.

Slap-bang in the middle of Ligue 1, St Etienne will look to cause a massive upset when they take on The Nerazzurri. Of course, Inter are favourites to emerge from Group F as they've accrued six points already and will look to build on a really positive start. If they can get on a bit of a roll, an extended run in the Europa League might be the jolt they need to recapture the form that once made them such a household name.

Any night of football at Camp Nou is always a thrill ride worth strapping oneself in for, and with Luis Enrique's men desperate for a win -- to get their Champions League assault back on track after losing 3-2 to Paris St Germain -- the tension is set to be high. Will they call on young stars Munir El Haddadi and Sergi Samper? Can Lionel Messi lead them to a big win? There's lots to be excited about for this duel.

2. LOSC Lille vs. Everton FC

Going by form, it will be hard to separate these two. Far from a pair of teams playing their best football, Lille drew their opening games, while Everton have so far won and lost one apiece in a tight Group H. Roberto Martinez's men might well top the standings right now, but if poor domestic form sneaks into their play, they'll be in for a frustrating night. There's a lot at stake in this one.

This has the makings to be the most appealing fixture on the schedule, as two of Europe's giants go head-to-head in Group B. The Reds are struggling to find form as life after Luis Suarez goes on, while Madrid are off the pace in La Liga. Los Blancos have the talent to put Brendan Rodgers' men away and should win easily if James Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo deliver. Will we see an upset? It's unlikely, but the Merseysiders will fight hard.
