The United States will take on the Republic of Ireland on Nov. 18. Here are five players to watch for the USMNT.

Wood missed a fantastic chance in the dying embers of the previous game and cost the U.S. dearly; it could've stopped the loss and at least salvaged a draw. He'll be hungry for a goal in his next appearance, so he will be an interesting player to watch if Jurgen Klinsmann puts him in.

Rubin also missed a few chances that could've put the United States ahead, most notably a header before he got subbed off. He is a good prospect for the USMNT and should get ample playing time in which he'll try to impress Klinsmann and the other coaches.

Green's appearance in the last match against Colombia could be considered arbitrary if you ignore the fact that the man he was marking scored the decisive goal of the match. He's an offensive player and it was only a friendly, so most will let it slide, but he should play for much longer than the last game and be a shot of adrenaline in the USA's offense.

Lee Nguyen barely played in the last match, but his flair and poise showed as he set up a beautiful combination play that Bobby Wood almost put away. He is the most popular invitee of the camp and a front-runner for MLS MVP, so Klinsmann should start him and allow him to impress.

1. Greg Garza

Garza played very well against the Colombians and could cement himself on the team if he keeps up his great form. Although Matt Besler and Omar Gonzalez are the main center-backs for the United States, there is a question for who will back them up, which is why Jermaine Jones has been playing in the back. John Brooks has always been very inconsistent, so there is a chance Garza could make a name for himself.
