Sergio Ramos Looks Ridiculous for Trashing Teammate Cesc Fabregas

Sergio Ramos was not happy with some of his Spanish National Team teammates, and he wasn’t afraid to let them know. He was quoted as questioning some of the players’ commitment to the national team, which made Cesc Fabregas lash out as soon as he heard. Teammates need to get along on and off the pitch, and incidents like these are what teams often hope to avoid.

Fabregas has missed the last Euro Cup qualifying match for Spain, as well as a friendly against World Cup Champions Germany, which is what is believed to have made Ramos lash out. Fabregas and Chelsea FC teammate Diego Costa were both absent due to injuries, but Fabregas was the one to respond to Ramos’ comment about the lack of commitment.

Fabregas has played 17 matches for Chelsea this season, including the match leading up to the international break, which is probably why he felt the comment was directed at him. He was not happy to have Ramos lash out at him, especially because he has played almost 100 matches for Spain, and every player is allowed time off in order to heal from an injury.

Ramos comes off looking like a self-righteous bad guy for many reasons. Spain crushed Belarus in their Euro qualifier and only lost by one goal to Germany, which is a big improvement to their recent form. It shows that Fabregas’ absence was not a blow to the team. On top of that, Fabregas was checked out by Chelsea and Spain’s doctors. Ramos must think very highly of himself if he believes he knows more about Fabregas’ fitness than the two team doctors do.

Fabregas has since said that he called Ramos about the statement, and they have cleared the air. Hopefully, they’ll be in good terms during the Spain’s next match.
