It is well known that Harry Redknapp often likes to re-sign players he knows well and has already coached in his career. The 2015 January transfer window will likely be no different and see Redknapp try to employ that same philosophy once again and pursue some familiar faces for Queens Park Rangers. Here are five players Redknapp could pursue in the new year.

If Harry Redknapp is eying a few players he has previously managed, then Aaron Lennon will be high on that list. Lennon is struggling for minutes at Spurs, and the winger would undoubtedly improve QPR's attack. Whether Redknapp could secure Lennon temporarily on loan or permanently for a reasonable fee would be crucial to any deal, however, with the tight budget that QPR are reportedly on.

Harry Redknapp has managed Ravel Morrison before, so he knows the challenges that Morrison presents but also the talent that he brings to the table. Redknapp has never shied away from controversial and difficult characters in his career, and although Morrison is potentially one of the biggest headaches imaginable, the midfielder could also play a big role in helping QPR to safety if Redknapp can manage to get the best out of him.

Little known Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas has been on loan at Cologne in Germany this season, but the Czech has not received the amount of game time Chelsea were hoping for. Recalling Kalas seems a genuine option, and if that does happen, then a loan to a EPL team like QPR will be on the horizon next.

It has been reported for a while now that Jermain Defoe may be unhappy in Toronto and looking to move back to the Premier League in January. Those reports are yet to be confirmed, but you can bet on Redknapp and QPR testing Toronto's willingness to do business when January arrives.

Whilst Defoe seemingly wants out of Toronto, that is not the intentions of LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane right now. However, it has been seen time and time again that while MLS is in between seasons, some big-name players like to venture out on a short-term loan to a major European league. Keane will be in demand if he wishes to take up the opportunity -- especially with Redknapp at QPR.
