New boss Alan Pardew is looking to sign one or two players this month. Defense and striker will be the biggest areas that Crystal Palace targets, but they could be looking at loan deals more than signing anyone. Darren Bent signed a loan this week and is probably out of the picture. John Bostock would like to return. Glenn Murray should return from Reading. Who else could be making their way to Selhurst Park?

Ashley Cole's move to Roma has not worked out and he is not seeing time. He seemed set to return to England and Crystal Palace before the managerial change. If Pardew wants him, then this move will happen. The outside back positions will take precedent over center backs, so Cole makes sense.

Gomis led Swansea City to their victory in the third round of the FA Cup, but is one of several players who could be on the move from the Swans. Gomis only has one goal in Premier League competition and has been used more as a substitute lately. He would get a chance to feature weekly with Palace.

Taylor is going to be tough to pry away from Swansea. He has been very durable this season. Taylor has the most yellow cards on the team this season, but has also suffered the most fouls of any of the Swansea City defenders. He is under contract until 2016, but Palace can at least call.

The Senegalese and Lille defender would be a good acquisition for Crystal Palace. He has made 22 appearance across all competitions this year with 12 of those coming in Ligue 1. The 24-year-old left back was not in the squad twice this year, so his place with Lille is in question. This would be a good spot for a loan deal.

Sanogo is expected to depart Arsenal even with the departure of Lukas Podolski. Sanogo has only started two Premier League games so a loan deal for the striker could benefit the Gunners in the long run. Bordeaux is also in for Sanogo, but Arsenal reportedly want to keep the player in England.
