As one of the greatest English footballers in history leaves the Premier League, we take a look back on his best goals for his one and only beloved club, Liverpool.

5. Long Shot Against Aston Villa

Gerrard would take a crack now and again from distance and became feared for his long shot, as displayed here against Aston Villa.

4. Free Kick Against Newcastle United

Gerrard's ability to take free kicks himself or to have it laid off to him was an incredible asset to Liverpool. Both defenders in this video knew his capabilities and tried to stop him, but Stevie G still made a mockery of them.

3. Half-Volley against Middlesbrough

Shooting off the bounce is either a huge hit or miss, but when you catch it right, it's a sweet goal. Enjoy another cracker by Gerrard.

2. FA Cup against West Ham United

Arguably one of his most important goals ever, Liverpool were down 2-3 and needed a goal. In the latest stage of the game, Gerrard hit it with everything he had and helped take the match to extra time, where Liverpool won in penalties and the captain was awarded Man of the Match honors.

1. Champions League goal against Olympiakos

Made most memorable by Andy Gray yelling, "What a hit, son!" a perfect swing of his right boot in the 86th minute drilled in a third for Liverpool against Olympiacos at Anfield to complete a stunning comeback and fire his side into the Champions League knock-out stage.
