Swansea's transfer window hinges on themselves, Manchester City and Wilfried Bony green-lighting a transfer that would see the Ivory Coast hit-man leave Wales. Bony's transfer fee will be a record fee received by Swansea, but how will they cope after losing their talisman. How will the money be spent? Here's the lowdown...

Hmm. OK. He'll do, I suppose. Aston Villa defender Matt Lowton is hardly a player who'll have Swansea fans leaping for joy. However, the 25-year-old full back would be a solid acquisition and a practical squad player to have in the mix. It's always nice for any team to have fresh blood running through its veins. Lowton may not be the most exciting player, but he's a new face and sometimes that's all a team needs.

Again, hmm. I could've just used the old "ctrl + c, ctrl + v" trick from the Matt Lowton slide here. Kyle Naughton is another mid-twenties, English full back, available for a relatively low price. There have been times when Naughton has looked out of his depth for Tottenham, but a change of scenery could propel him into form. This would be another uninspiring, yet highly practical signing if the deal happens.

Now for the strikers. Matej Vydra was completely devastating in his first loan spell at Watford. He tore apart the Championship and racked up 20 goals in the process. Udinese then sent him out to West Brom in the Premier League where he flopped. Now he's back at Watford (another loan...) and showing signs of the old Vydra. Could Swansea be tempted to take a chance on the striker to fill the Bony-shaped hole?

Now here's a name that most probably won't know ... But probably will very soon. Liverpool, Newcastle and Leicester have all been credited with an interest in Aleksander Mitrovic. The 20-year-old striker has bagged 14 goals in 28 games including one against Arsenal in the Champions League. If Swansea are the first team to take a chance on his potential, they could be greatly rewarded.

Garry Monk is a new, young manager with a tantalizing squad at his command. Swansea play free-flowing, entertaining football. And in the silver-lining of Bony's imminent departure, their bank balance is set to rise considerably. Fans are demanding a replacement. However, Monk has outlined plans to sink that money into club facilities, the training ground and generally keep the club secure. It's sensible, necessary and ... Actually rather boring.
