MLS Officials Miss Obvious Own Goal During Sporting Kansas City vs. FC Dallas

For reasons unknown, MLS hasn’t caught up with the rest of the soccer world, and is without any sort of goal-line technology. This became a major issue during Sporting Kansas City vs. FC Dallas on Sunday, as Sporting Kansas City’s Lawrence Olum clearly scored an own goal on his goalkeeper Tim Melia.

Naturally, the FC Dallas Twitter account was upset.


It’s 2016, and while we don’t yet have flying cars, we do have the technology to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future. MLS must implement a new system.
