Borussia Dortmund Champions League Fixture Postponed After Team Bus Explosion

Sports are supposed to be a sanctimonious space where the troubles of the world fail to infiltrate and cloud our minds of fandom.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday when the team bus headed to the pitch for their Champions League fixture with AS Monaco experienced three explosions, which shattered glass on the back right portion of the vehicle.

One player was hurt in the blasts, Marc Bartra, and he underwent surgery for the wrist injury he suffered.

Terrorism is possibly suspected in this incident, so the investigation is going to be thorough and the punishment likely quite punitive.
